Born in New York City, Mary Ryan moved to Los Angeles at age 8. She received her BA and teaching credentials in art, with an emphasis in crafts. Along with teaching for a few years, raising a family, traveling, and having a crafts business, she went on to design over 100 Scriptural cross stitch patterns, under the name of Sweetwater Designs. She served as a prayer minister and teacher for several ministries, taught Sunday school, then went on to self publish several scriptural books. ...
So she is following that great commission through the Internet! Her art has been featured on two large Instagram sites, Christian Magazine, as well as Rhonna Designs App, both of which have tens of thousands of followers. She allows others to copy and share her art.
It is a deeply satisfying endeavor that extends far beyond what her dreams entailed. She has people from all over the world as well as all faiths following her and being affected by her art! She is thrilled to be a vessel to Lift High the Name of Jesus!
Because of her love of God's Name, something that she remembers as beginning at age 4, not only do her books reflect that love, but also her art! One of her books entitled God's Names and Attributes, He Is, is now available on Amazon Kindle, with more to come!
In the past year, she has been focusing on creating uplifting designs to reach and teach the world about God's glorious name and attributes through digital design on Instagram. Jesus said to 'go into all the world!' and so sh
