Blayne Alexander is a reporter for Atlanta’s NBC affiliate, 11Alive News, where she can be seen every weeknight at 11pm.

Although Blayne is a native Oklahoman, she is an adopted “southern girl” through and through. Before coming to Atlanta in 2011, Blayne worked in Augusta, GA at WRDW-TV, where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor. ...

Blayne began her career as a production assistant for NBC Nightly News in Washington, DC.

During her time in Washington, Blayne was front and center for the first election and inauguration of President Barack Obama, helping coordinate inauguration coverage from the US Capitol for the five major broadcasting networks. Four years later, Blayne returned to Washington to cover President Obama's second inauguration for 11Alive, telling stories through the eyes of Atlantans who travelled to witness the event. ...

Blayne is a member of Junior League of Atlanta, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and serves on the board of directors for The Scholarship Academy, a non-profit organization that helps low-income college students gain access to financial aid.

Blayne is also a Cool Girls volunteer and an active member of National Association of Black Journalists and Atlanta Association of Black Journalists, serving on the chapter’s executive board as vice-president of broadcast.

Blayne is a 2008 graduate of Duke University, where she received her BA degree in English.

I am an artist by heart. Have loved the ability to tell a story and have an audience follow along for the ride.  My dreams of working in the arts was put aside so that I could get a steady job to support my family.  In 2008, a friend convinced me to finish writing my first play "SMOKING SECTION" which was in the NYC Fringe festival. ...

I continued acting and writing for the next few years and then took a shot at my first film in the Ultimate Film Makers Competition.  A 7 day competition created by Yaron Urbas and Frances Lozada. This was my Directing debut and am proud of my cast and crew for the job they did. I am now finishing writing my first feature film  and am hoping for it to be filmed in the summer of 2014.  I believe in one theory, You Accept what you expect.  If you expect a little you will accept a little but if you expect the most you will accept nothing less.

Mega is a native of California who has resided in both Northern and Southern parts. Growing up in a family deep with spiritual roots it is no wonder she has a love for Gospel Music. As a little girl she would sit attentively at church listening to her grandmother sing along to the old congregational hymns. As a pre-teen she was able to sing in the adult choir where she really acquired a respect and appreciation for Gospel Music. Mega was shy and unsure of her voice so she just stayed in the background and blended in with the choir. One day she gained enough courage while attending  Jr. High School and she sang A cappella one of the  Legendary Pop Artist "Whitney Houston" songs in a talent show. ...

This is when her friends and the faculty discovered she had a voice. Many encouraged Mega to pursue a career in singing . During this time there weren't many gospel artist with solo careers. Gospel music was mainly composed of choirs and groups. So she suppressed her desire to be a singer and life went on. After having several careers in Cosmetology and a Correctional Officer she has returned to her first love. Mega currently is the Praise and Worship leader at her fathers church in so. Cal. This time with confidence, experience, and certainty of her destiny she is on the rise to doing big things in the gospel industry. Mega has a unique ability to take the word of God (scripture) and mix it with a catchy melody and plenty of harmonies, thus grabbing the ears of the listeners. Her influences rang any where from Gospel, R&B, Pop, Jazz, but the greatest of these is her Love of God and sharing what he has placed in her heart. In  2014 she will be releasing another single from her debut album "Bible Lessons" along with several story-telling videos.
