Washington-born and raised jazz, R&B and soul singer Sonja’ embarked on a singing career at an early age. Sonja's roots were as a gospel singer in the church choir and praise team, but she quickly moved to sharing the stage with Patti Labelle and opening for such artists as Phil Perry, Sinbad, Angela Boyfill, Peabo Bryson, Stephanie Mills, Barkays, Howard Hewitt, Mother’s Finest & SOS Band, just to name a few.

Sonja’ is currently singing in two groups, Framewerk Band and Signature Live. Sonja’ had a major role in the traveling company of the hit play "Choir Rehearsal". Also, in her spare time, she teaches voice and stage presence to several young and upcoming artists. ...

She also has her own holistic Sonja’ Hair Shea product line that is successfully making its mark in the beauty world. Sonja’ likes traveling the world, and meeting new people. Her favorite places to travel are the beautiful Caribbean islands.

Sonja would like to inspire other up and coming artists and touch people with her message through her voice, songs and deliverance. Sonja’s motto is “grow where you’re planted” and “life is a song and love is the music”!!
