Jeffree Charles is more than just a radio D J. Born in Atlanta Georgia and raised from the age of 10 years up in the city of Cleveland Ohio. Jeffree knew early on what he wanted to do in life. Jeffree began singing in Cleveland groups at the age of 13. Jeffree's Mother being the owner of the neighborhood mom and pop Record shop instilled several qualities in Jeffree's soul..He wanted to Record Music, Perform on stage and he also wanted to be a Radio Air Personality. Before Jeffree was 30 Years old he had done all of that and more..By the late 80’s Jeffree had become a household name with his Quiet Storm formatted radio show called "For Lovers Only" on WZAK 93.1 in Cleveland,Ohio……Jeffree Charles figured out that if he became a popular Radio Air Personality that this would open doors to being a Recording Artist , with potential opportunities to open shows for many artist..After his first local hit release titled “ Tonight At Nine” on the East Orange,New Jersey based (Pj Records) record label , Jeffree Charles was dubbed the singing D.J…Concert Promoters began to approach Jeffree to open for such major artist such as: ...

Karyn White, The Jets, Cherrelle. The Barkays, Freddie Jackson, Levert, Lakeside, Anita Baker, Freddie Jackson, Brian McKnight, War (Center Stage/Atlanta), Will Downing (Tabernacle/Atlanta) and most recently The Whispers…….Just to name a few…. Jeffree returned to his native home of Atlanta, Georgia in 1994 to host the radio program "Slow Jams" on WALR, Kiss 104.1. Becoming a very popular radio Celebrity in that market as well…Jeffree hit the ground running in Atlanta Georgia, with a U.K. released Cd "Come Get This Lovin" in 1996. Released on the now extinct Success Records..Jeffree Charles co-wrote and produced 11 of 13 of the songs on that project which is still getting airplay and recognition to date in the U.K.Outside of performing, Jeffree Charles has been an extra in such movies as Daddy’s Little Girls, Good Deeds (both Tyler Perry Films) ..Jeffree was hand chosen by Producer/Director Jade Dixon to be in the movie'' Big Ain't Bad”,this occurred by chance when the 2 met at an Atlanta car wash,Jeffree was also an extra last Summer on the VH1 series “Drop Dead Diva”.... In 2002 Jeffree was hand picked to Host the (Executive Producer, Keith Sweat) CW Entertainment Television show called "The Industry"..Jeffree's co-host was Keith Sweat's then wife Lisa Wu (Hartwell, formerly an Atlanta House wife)…The show was short lived, only running two seasons mainly in the Atlanta and Cleveland Markets but only exemplified the many talents of Jeffree Charles …In 2003 Jeffree Charles had dinner and hosted possibly his biggest radio interview of his Air Personality career..A month later the Legendary Luther Vandross had a stroke and later died…(hear interview on You tube)..But it was what Luther told Jeffree when the mike was turned off that made his biggest impact…”I sang for Luther and let him hear a couple of my songs and he simply told me to never give up and continue persuing my dream with every ounce of determination that I possess”…THAT IS THE GOAL FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!!!
