Thanks to Kevyn Aucoin's book, "Making Faces", I knew makeup was a true art form but wasn't sure I could be that much of a true artist. 2005 I moved to New York to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I learned SO much but it wasn’t enough. While doing a Holiday show I was talking about how I really wanted to get into makeup professionally. The tech guy mentioned that his wife was a makeup artist and she could give me some advice. She gave me some great advice on where to begin. I went to the Make-Up Designory and realized I can do this! I have never looked back and continually push myself to keep moving forward. the artists that inspire me are: Ve Neil, Bobbie Weiner, Alex Box, Kevyn Aucoin, and Howard Berger. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my parents, especially my father. He continually reminds me that I have come so far and should be proud of it, because he is.
